Setup using CryptoFundTrader/MetaTrader5

Note: not yet available in the web version!

Crypto Fund Trader is a Prop Trading Firm - spend $47 to get $5,000 to trade with, or spend $92 to get $10,000 to trade with!

Please read all of the below, including the rules and "How to Trade" section below. If you break one of their rules they will close your account

For example do NOT both long and short the same symbol at the same time. Closing a position is NOT done with the "Sell" button - it is done with the "Close position" button
Don't risk more than 5% in a day (optimally only risk 2-3% a day). Always have stop losses set, and you can see how much you are risking by typing `!positions` with our bot
These rules are for both your trial accounts AND live accounts

Account Setup

Visit Crypto Fund Trader and click on "Start Challenge".
Look for the "Apply Now" button under the $5,000 account option in the 2 Phases section.
Choose MetaTrader 5 from the dropdown menu. You MUST choose this option
Click "Apply Now" and proceed to checkout.

Wait for an email from Crypto Fund Trader containing your login credentials. Check your spam folder if you don't receive it
You login is always a series of numbers. If not please make sure you picked MetaTrader 5 when you applied in the step before

Upon completion, you will receive a funded account with $5,000.
Read the rules on the Crypto Fund Trader FAQ and on the following page. Failure to do so will make you lose your ENTIRE account. As a repeat of the main rules:
- Do NOT both long and short the same symbol at the same time. Closing a position is NOT done with the "Sell" button - it is done with the "Close position" button

Wait for an email from MetaApi to verify your email. Check your spam folder if you don't receive it.

Once verified, head over to MetaApi MT Accounts.
Click on "Add New Account" to begin the process of connecting your MetaTrader account with your MetaApi profile.
- The MetaTrader account is the one you get from Crypto Fund Trader.
You will be asked to pick various options, to simplify the process just copy the settings 1:1 from the image below, click “Next” once done. It is important that you must set the quote streaming interval to a value greater than 0.6 seconds

In the second page you will be asked for your MetaTrader Login information. These got sent to you via mail after successfully creating a CryptFundTrader account. Simply copy paste those here including the server name in the Mail. For the account name you can pick whatever you see fitting.
Once done click “Create” to complete the process.

To check if the process was successful head to the “MT Accounts” section of your Dashboard. You should see your account there and beneath it it should say “Connected”.

Finally, head over to MetaApi API Access, and then click on "Generate API Access Token".

Click check-mark option on everything under the Generate API Access token menu.
Under the Choose Validity Time option, select infinity and then finally, generate the API access token. Copy that, and save it in a secure and easy to reach place so you don't have to login again .

Lastly, to check whether the account is working and pulling info correctly, head back to MT Accounts menu. and click on the 3 dots beside your account ID and then select Monitor Trading Terminal.

It is recommended to use the mobile application as it is significantly simpler to use than the Desktop app. Click here to download it
- After downloading it will first prompt you to accept the terms & conditions, simply Accept them and then to open a demo account, simply click on cross to cancel that.

After cancelling that, a new menu named Brokers will pop up. In the Find broker search bar, search "RLCrates" and press Enter.

Select that, and use the credentials from Crypto Fund Trader which were send to you in mail to Login.

Click on the Quotes symbol (↑↓), then "+" and add the crypto / stocks you want to trade. Click the pencil icon to remove the default FOREX symbols.

Long click on one of the symbols, and click "New Order". Under "Market Execution", Enter the amount of the symbol you wish to buy.

For example if you clicked into "SOLUSDT", then entering 100 would buy 100 SOLUSDT (thousands of dollars worth). It does NOT buy only $100 worth.

In the "SL" section, enter the price at which the trade should hit a stop loss. This could be a level of support the symbol has recently bounced off of in the last few days.
Click "BUY BY MARKET" to open a long position and "SELL BY MARKET" to open a short position.

To edit the stop loss of a trade, go to the trade tab, click on the trade, click Modify, update the Stop Loss value, then click Modify
- If you accidentally open a new trade to short the position that you are longing - again as the rules discuss above you will LOSE your entire account
To close a trade, simply long tap on the trade you want to close under the TRADE menu and close it.

Click on Enter Credentials. Enter the account credentials that were sent to you via mail and click on Submit.

After submitting your credentials, you will be prompted to enter your MetaApi Token. Click on Enter Token. Enter the MetaApi token that you saved earlier and click on Submit.

You're good to go now!
